Have you noticed? Can you see it?

March 18, 2020
Church: If you find yourself besieged and maybe overwhelmed by COVID19 and its affects on people, governmental systems, the world economy and human institutions take a moment and be encouraged by enjoying God in His creation.  Remember, God has given us His amazing creation to remind us of who He is and that He is in caring control.

Have you noticed the pink azaleas blooming?  Have you noticed the red camellia buds?  Have you noticed the grass greening?  Have you noticed the yellow pollen falling? Have you noticed the powerful osprey’s arrival?  Have you noticed the orange sunrises?  Have you noticed the lengthening of the days?  Have you noticed the live oak dropping its leaves and budding?  Have you noticed the squirrel happily digging up the winter’s left over supply of acorns?  Have you noticed the pink sunsets?  Have you noticed the yellow daffodils?  Have you noticed the dogwood blooms?  Have you noticed the marsh grass starting to green?  Have you noticed the wood ducks flying north?  Have you noticed the bright moon running through its phases?  Have you noticed Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, or Saturn in the night or morning darkness?

God is reminding us of His caring, sovereign control at every second of the day through His creation.  Do you see it?  Do you see His beauty?  Do you see His perfect control?  Do you see His magnificent orchestration of His creation for His glory? Do you see His powerful constancy?  Do you see His flawless order?  Do you see Him working out His eternal redemptive plan?  God is powerfully reminding us that His universe is not spinning out of control.  God is working out His redemptive plan just like He has been since the time of creation; let us enjoy watching Him work just like He does in creation.  Enjoy Psalm 19:1-6 and go outside.

Psalm 19:1-6  The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.
2    Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
3    There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
4    Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them He has set a tent for the sun,
5        which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
6    Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Together in Christ, Steve
