Ephesians 2:1-3 and a Sacrifice of Praise this Sunday

October 5, 2017
Hey GCT:  This Sunday we will be looking at the reminder of the bad news of the Gospel in Ephesians 2:1-3.  We will be reminded of who we WERE before God made us alive together with Christ (v. 4), the good news of the Gospel!  Can you take a moment and read Ephesians 2 and ask yourself the question, “How can I love and praise God on the basis of these truths in 2:1-3?”   How can you praise God as we are reminded of the “bad news” of the Gospel?  Then let us bring a "sacrifice of praise” to share with the Body of Christ this Sunday.  A praise from the lips of those who praise God despite the storms of life is a sacrifice.  A praise regardless of circumstances, flowing from a worshipping heart in good times and bad.  Let us prepare our hearts to do this together as the Body of Christ this Sunday.

Hebrews 13:15-16 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Prayerfully, Steve
