Adults of GCT…
What if five years from now, in a dark night of the soul, a passage of scripture suddenly opened up to you because of the work you did in studying God’s Word this week? Wouldn’t your investment in Bible study be worth it? A storeroom, as Jesus indicates in Matthew 13, is a place for keeping valuables over a long period of time for use when needed. Faithful study of God’s Word is a means for filling our spiritual storerooms with truth, so that in our hour of need we can bring forth both the old and the new as a source of rich provision. We pray that this study would be for you a source of much treasure, and that you would each invest in the study time to obtain it.
Why group studies? Our times together should be informed by study of God’s Word. Our purpose is to know Him through His Word, to be transformed by His Spirit, and to encourage and strengthen one another to hold fast to our hope in His promises. (Hebrews 10:23-25; Eph. 4:11-16; Rom. 12:2; 1:16)
GCT bible studies are not just for kids! In order for us all to grow as the body of Christ, we’re inviting all adults to be part of a bible study group this year. Men and women meet in their groups to study the book of Hebrews on Wednesday nights 6:30-8:00 while the kids are in Grace City groups. Women have a morning option to be involved in the same study on Thursdays 10:30-noon. These groups begin this week! Below is the PDF you can print your own copy. If you can read ahead before class tonight or in the morning, read the Introduction on the first couple of pages.
We’re praying for a year of remarkable spiritual growth for GCT, growing in passion for God’s Word, understanding and wisdom, desire for obedience and holiness, unity of the Spirit, love for the brothers, and hope for the hopeless.
