Good morning GCT:
As many of you know, I love experiencing God’s creation, seeing God in His creation. Yesterday during the sunrise worship at the beach I mentioned the “sun pedestal” sunrise that we experienced. Well guess what… it is better known as an "Omega Sunrise”. Wow! That makes it even more awesome! Jesus, being the Alpha and the Omega incarnate (Rev. 1:8) gave us the blessing of a rare omega sunrise reminding us once again that our Alpha and the Omega God creates every sunrise by the word of HIs power (Heb. 1:3). Here is a little information of what needs to happen to get an omega sunrise:
This phenomenon is called “omega sun,” because the shape looks like the Greek letter omega. It is a mirage caused by the temperature difference in the air and the refraction of the light. It occurs when seawater is much warmer that the air (it was cold yesterday), the lowermost air layer is warmed up by the water and produces a temperature difference. This warm/cold differential then produces a refracted image of the sun just below the true sun creating the shape of an omega.
Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Have a great week living life enjoying our Lord, the Alpha and Omega, Jesus Christ. - Steve
