The Father's giving exceeds our capacity for asking or even imagining - Sunday Night Prayer - 25 Advent Devotions for your family

December 1, 2017
GCT:  This Sunday we are seeking to comprehend a promise difficult to grasp in Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…  That means that it is impossible to ask for too much since the Father's giving exceeds our capacity for asking or even imagining.

Paul's extravagant praise of God reflects the limitless abundance to bless His people in response to their prayers.  What more do we need?  An encouraging way to read this Scripture is:

God is:
Able
Able to do
Able to do what we ask
Able to do what we think
Able to do what we ask or think
Able to do all that we ask or think
Able to do above all that we ask or think
Able to do abundantly above all that we ask or think
Able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think

SUNDAY EVENING:  We will be gathering for a time of corporate prayer.  We will be gathering to pray this verse in the lives of those at GCT and anyone else that is on your heart knowing that the Father’s plan far exceeds our prayers.  If you were not at our prayer time last month we want you to know that you were prayed for.  Please bring your requests to share.
